Luis Feliciano is an actor, director, and teaching artist specializing in clown, commedia dell’arte, physical acting, voice, and ensemble-based creation. He completed a year-long clown and commedia dell’arte pedagogical apprenticeship with Christopher Bayes, Head of Physical Acting at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, and worked as Studio Manager for the tenth season of Clown Gym, collaborating with more than twenty clown teachers from around the world. He has also trained internationally with Philippe Gaulier and Giovanni Fusetti and is currently working with Andrea Haring toward designation as a Linklater Voice Teacher. Luis has taught and performed with the Department of Fools and has led workshops in clown and physical performance. Outside the theatre, he has worked in mathematics education for more than ten years and has taught as an adjunct lecturer at CUNY Hunter College for over six years. His teaching centers play, curiosity, accessibility, and helping students take expressive risks.
